This bundle contains 20 lessons for the ‘Crime & Deviance’ section of the new WJEC EDUQAS GCSE Sociology specification. This bundle was updated in March 2020 so that all of the PowerPoints are in the standard format and, consequently, more easy to edit than before.
This 20 lesson bundle was designed for the new WJEC EDUQAS specification (2017 onwards) - we have also released equivalent bundles for AQA Sociology which are available on TES.
It is designed to be a self-contained, comprehensive and complete resource: everything a teacher/department need to teach the Crime & Deviance section of the course.
Each lesson comes in a .Zip file, This file contains:
-A detailed lesson plan: highlighting differentiation, AfL, key-words, SMSC and a timeline of learning activities (.pdf)
-A premium quality, editable, PowerPoint Presentation
-Homework

This is a great metacognition activity to use at the end of your lessons! Download it for free and use it today!
Description:
This straightforward activity should be run at the end of a lesson: it’s a quick activity that encourages students to reflect on metacognitive factors that have helped them to learn or presented obstacles to learning. Students are presented with a question and move around the room to show their response, providing an opportunity for further metacognitive questioning from the teacher.
How To Use:
Simply run the PowerPoint Show at the end of your lesson (when there are 5-10 minutes remaining)
Each slide presents your class with four options: they must move to different corners of the room to indicate their answer!
Once students have moved: it is an ideal opportunity to ask questions that lead them towards insight surrounding their own learning and how they can increase their learning-power in future lessons.
What’s Included:
A PowerPoint Show (.ppsx)
This metacognition activity is brought to you by The Global Metacognition Institute (globalmetacognition.com)
All resources can be shared, but users agree not to modify or resell this resource.

It has been created for the latest AQA GCSE Religious Studies Specification and covers the thematic study ‘The Existence of God & Revelation’ (Theme C) and focuses on Christian teachings. It should be useful to all GCSE Religious Studies teachers: even if using other specifications.
The download includes 10 Lessons, though some can be used over two 1-hour periods:
Introduction
Central Debates
The Design & First Cause Arguments
Revelations & Religious Experience
The Argument from Miracles
The Problem of Evil
ICT Suite Lesson
Special & General Revelations (& The Bible)
Assessment Lesson
Unit Overview (Video-Learning Worksheet Lesson)
The bundle also includes:
-A Personal Learning Checklist (PLC) for this unit
-A collection of older files, relevant to this topic, from my teacher career
-A DIRT/AfL Worksheet

For most RE teachers this download includes everything you need to teach this thematic study, not including the comparative religion aspect of the thematic study.
Lessons about comparative religious traditions will be released at a later date as “bolt-ons” to this 10-lesson unit.
My ambition was to make the best available thematic studies resources on Tes, so I hope you like it!
If you are pleased with this bundle, please leave a review so that other RE teachers know that it is worth getting :)

This download contains an editable 50+ slide PowerPoint featuring the most important debates relevant to Media Studies classrooms: pitched at KS4/GCSE level. It also contains a ‘randomiser’ slide so that debate topics can be selected randomly.
Debates take an ‘agree or disagree’ format: students are asked to move from one side of the room to the other depending on their response to the statements that appear.
All topics are inspired from AQA GCSE specification though this product is relevant to all teachers of the subject.
This format allows teachers to foster debates and discussions between students, it can be helpful to ask students to justify their reasons and use sensible arguments. Questions you might ask include:
“What is wrong with the other position in your view?”,
“Why did you choose to stand where you’re standing?”,
“Why do you think people disagree so much about this question?”
It is best to encourage students to pick a side rather than float in the middle: but it can also be fun to allow students to change side as the debate progresses, so that students can try to persuade one another to move.
This is a great resource to use at the end of lessons if you have a few minutes left, it can be used as an entire lesson or revision session.

Christmas DIRT Worksheets (3 x A4 options)
An A3 Christmas DIRT Worksheet
The professionally designed Christmas quiz is tailor-made for teachers of English Literature to use with their students. It comprises a PowerPoint Quiz with 60 well-presented questions.
In the quiz, fifty of the questions are Christmas-related and not connected to a specific school-subject: the final ten are subject-specific and deal either with GCSE terminology, KS4 exam specification contents, or “fun facts”.
Completing and peer-marking the 60-question quiz should take the best part of a 1-hour lesson. Easy differentiation can be achieved by changing team-sizes.
The DIRT Worksheets are suitable for any KS4 or KS5 class. They are focussed on student-reflection, target-setting , progress checking, and creating student-teacher dialogue. They are all Christmas themed to help with tone and engagement.
